What vet care costs in Metro Manila: every sourced price, and what moves it

OpenVet · 14 Sep 2026
PRICES

Nobody publishes a menu. You ring three clinics, get three different answers, and still have no idea whether ₱1,800 for a blood panel is fair.

So here is every price we can source, in one table — and beside each figure, where it came from.

That second part matters more than the first, and we want to be straight about it before you read a single number: most of the figures on this page did not come from clinics. They come from published guides. We say which on every row, because a price nobody has confirmed to you is a starting point for a question, not a number to budge.

Of the 23 figures below, 5 come from the provider's own website, 1 from a news report, and 17 from two ClinicFinderPH guides — 16 from one and a single row from another. That ratio is not where we want it. It is where it is today, and it moves as we verify more.

Magkano ang magpa-vet? The short answer

An ordinary consultation runs ₱500 to ₱1,000. That is the number most people are actually asking about, and it is the smallest number on this page.

Everything after that depends on what the vet finds.

The routine things

The consultation row carries one more figure in its own note, and it is the one worth knowing: after-hours and specialist consultation, ₱1,200 – ₱2,500. It is not a separately published benchmark — it is the note attached to the consultation figure above, and we are printing it because it is the single biggest thing that moves the number. More on that below.

Kapon — spay and neuter

⛔ Those dog ranges are for small dogs, and we hold no benchmark for a large one. The guide published them as small-dog figures and we are keeping that scope. If you have a 30kg dog, the private-clinic ranges above are not your numbers and we cannot yet tell you what yours are. The PAWS floor at least scales explicitly.

⚠ The weight rule is part of the price, not a footnote. PAWS's published kapon rates add ₱500 for every 10kg over 15kg on dogs. Private clinics scale with size too, usually without publishing how.

Also worth knowing: your area may do this free. Most Metro Manila local governments run kapon programmes — see [libreng vet: every free clinic and programme in Metro Manila](/blog/libreng-vet).

Dental is worth a note: it is done under general anaesthesia, so the quote usually covers the anaesthetic and the monitoring as much as the cleaning. Ask what the figure covers and what happens to it if a tooth has to come out.

What individual clinics publish

Five places in our directory publish a price of any kind. Here they are, with where each figure actually comes from.

ClinicFigureWhere it came from
Vets in Practice, MandaluyongPuppy wellness plan, 1 yr, ₱15,000 – ₱19,000the clinic's own website
PAWS PARC, Quezon Citythe four kapon floors abovethe organisation's own website
Blessed Veterinary Clinic, QCConsultation ₱400 – ₱600a second ClinicFinderPH guide — not the clinic
VetLife Animal Clinic, MakatiConsultation from ₱500ClinicFinderPH — not the clinic
Pet Hub Veterinary Clinic, ParañaqueConsultation ₱300 – ₱500a OneNews article — not the clinic

⛔ Three of those five figures sat under a line that said the clinic published them. The sentence above our price tables read "Prices published by the clinic, with source and date" — and on Blessed, VetLife and Pet Hub, the clinic did not publish them. A guide did, or a news article did. That line was falsifiable and it was false, because every price row here carries its own source link and anyone could have checked it against the sentence sitting above it.

There is a second one. It is a different animal to the first, and the difference matters: nothing about it was false.

Some listings cite two kinds of source at once — the business's own page for one fact, a third-party listing for another. We were crediting the stronger of the two to the whole record. Nothing we held could have proved that wrong, because we never recorded which source each individual field came from. That is exactly the problem. A claim nobody can check is not a claim we are entitled to make, and on a site whose whole promise is showing you where things came from, claiming the better source for a whole record is the failure that promise exists to prevent. Understating is survivable. Over-claiming is not.

So from today, where a record's sources span more than one class, the listing credits the weaker one. Five records move: Blessed Veterinary Clinic, Serbisyo Beterinaryo Pasig, Holistic Paws Manila, PAWS PARC Clinic and the PPBCC Foundation. On several of them the stronger source is probably right for most of the fields. We are not saying it is wrong — we are refusing to claim it until we can show it. The label is a floor, and it understates on purpose.

When we can attribute field by field — this address from here, this phone number from there — the stronger source returns to every field that earns it.

We found both of these auditing our own sourcing, and we are saying so here rather than quietly. Two of those consultation figures also sit below the ₱500 floor of the Metro-wide range — which is not a contradiction, it is what a range is, and it is the argument for ringing rather than assuming.

Ano ang nagpapataas ng presyo — what moves the number

The hour. The consultation benchmark carries a note putting after-hours and specialist consultation at ₱1,200 to ₱2,500, against ₱500 to ₱1,000 in daylight. The same visit at 2am can cost two to three times the same visit at 2pm. When a 24-hour clinic tells you it is "on call", that is the figure to ask about — and the time to ask is now, not then: [know where to take your pet in an emergency](/blog/know-where-to-go-pet-emergency).

The weight. Kapon pricing scales with size, and so does anaesthesia generally. It is also the gap in our own data — see the small-dog note above.

The species. Cat procedures are consistently cheaper than dog. A cat spay tops out around ₱5,500; a small-dog spay reaches ₱10,000.

What they find. Every figure above is for the procedure alone. Medication, the cone, the follow-up visit and confinement if it is needed are separate lines.

How to use this page

Treat every range here as a question to ask, not a price to expect. Ring, describe your animal honestly — age, weight, what is wrong — and ask for the total including medication and follow-up.

If a quote lands well outside a range here, that is not proof anyone is overcharging. It usually means the case is more complicated than a range can describe.

What we are doing about the ratio

Seventeen of twenty-three figures on this page are borrowed from guides that state no method and name no author. We would rather show you that than hide it — but it is a debt, not a position.

We are retiring it by asking clinics directly. When a clinic publishes its prices, we list them with a link to the page and the date we checked. Free, no charge to be listed, and nobody can pay to rank on OpenVet.

If you run a clinic and you publish your prices, tell us and we will carry them, sourced and dated, and the ratio at the top of this page will move.
