Privacy Policy
Effective 3 September 2026 · last updated 3 September 2026
The short version
We collect as little as the product needs to work: an email address if you sign in, the list of places you save, the names you give your pets, and an anonymous count of how many people pressed “Is this your shop?” on each listing. We do not collect health information about you or your animals, and we do not sell anything to anyone.
What we collect, and why
- Your email address — only if you sign in. It is how we send your one-time code and how your saved list follows you between devices. No password is ever set or stored.
- Your saved list — the places you have saved. Before you sign in it lives only in your own browser; when you sign in we offer to move it to your account, and you can say no.
- Your pets’ names — if you add them on your account page, so the site can address them by name. Nothing else about them.
- Claim clicks — a per-listing counter, incremented when someone presses “Is this your shop?”. It records the listing, not the person: no identifier of any kind is written with it and nothing on our side can read an individual click back out.
We do not collect health data — not yours, not your animals’. There is nowhere on this site to enter a diagnosis, a treatment or a medical record, and we do not want one.
Who else touches it
Our data processor is Supabase, which stores the account and saved-list data and sends the sign-in codes. The site itself is served by Vercel. If you use “Continue with Google”, that sign-in happens at Google and we receive only the email address on the account.
How long we keep it
Your account and saved list stay until you ask us to delete them. Ask, and they go — the account, the list, the pet names, all of it. The anonymous claim counter has nothing in it to delete.
Your rights under the Data Privacy Act
Under the Philippines’ Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and object to how we use it. Write to privacy@openvet.now and we will answer. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.
